Alexander Boches

Alexander Boches has more than 15 years’ experience in commercial leadership across the life-science and biotechnology industry, spanning business development, strategic partnerships, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions.
He has established and led commercial and business-development functions in partnership with leading global pharmaceutical companies, building the strategic relationships and research collaborations that advance scientific platforms towards the clinic. Over the course of his career he has raised venture capital from pre-seed through Series A and supported the growth of multiple venture-backed companies, several through to successful acquisition.
As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, he led the spin-out of a drug-discovery company from a leading research university, directing its intellectual-property and technology-transfer negotiations and forming partnerships across academia, government, and industry. He has also served as a venture partner, investing in and incubating early-stage companies. His experience encompasses proteomics, precision medicine, and the application of artificial intelligence to molecular discovery.
Alex serves as Chief Business Officer at NovalGen, where he is responsible for commercial strategy, business development, and corporate partnering. He holds a degree in biochemistry from Colby College.
